The new Gynemed disposable PAP brush is now available from Vision Medical. Current methods of collecting cervical cells for use with liquid based cytology are ineffective in endo-cervical cell collection. The new Gynemed Brush is a sheathed system which not only has a much greater method of cell collection and dispersion, but if used in conjunction with an ecto-cervical spatula, the cell collection far exceeds that of existing methods. Fewer traumas for the patient also mean a clearer sample is taken and less chance of patient revisits due to inconclusive smear results.
